Claire has uploaded an album of photographs from the Newport Carnival last Saturday 24th July.
As usual if any member would like a copy of a particular photograph if they let Claire know she will get them printed for you at cost price plus postage. This offer is only available to Mas Fusion members and the order need to be placed via Sharon or Jill.

Once again MAS FUSION, the Island’s BIGGEST voluntary community based Family Carnival Mas Band, will be performing at many of the Island carnivals this year, including Newport Carnival for the first time. The group of more than 100 members, young and old, will dance and perform their way around the streets of Ryde to some well known dance tracks  in what can only be described as costumes big and small.

Our theme for 2010 is called “Flights of Fancy”. The inspiration for this has been taken from the iridescence and vibrancy of a rainforest environment. We  hope the crowd will delight in the spectacle of  the costumes and movement, joining with us in a journey of discovery.

Feel the  passion of the pulsing rhythms as you move along with us!

MAS FUSION is a voluntary group who raise all their own  funds and make every single one of their amazing costumes. They would like to  thank everyone who has supported them this year, the volunteers who give up  their time to help with the costume making and helping with the hundred and one  things needed to do in order to put the show on the road and finally our  fabulous performers.

Mas Fusion is often asked to supply launch event entertainment and hosting at corporate events.
Just recently we provided entertainment and hosting for the new Isle of Wight company Nova Lifestyles Limited.

Nova Lifestyles has just recently launched a specialist Well Being Directory covering all aspects of health from exercise to health eating. The directory is available from local doctors, dentists, complimentary therapists to name a few.

This is such wonderful news, after being nominated for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Web awards our brilliant website has been short listed down to one of Ten in the most accessible section.

For the last couple of Mondays between 2 pm and 4 pm Sandown Carnival Association have been running some carnival workshops near the trampolines on Sandown beach. Last Monday I took some photographs of Mas Fusion doing a wonderful performance to promote the workshops, I’m sorting them out at the moment so there should be another album highlighting just how good Mas Fusion is as a group.

Don’t forget to let people know that the workshops are running for another 4 weeks in the same spot the cost is 50p for Flag/Mask making per child and £1.50 for a full face paint design.

All contributions go towards the Sandown Carnival Association fund raising efforts.
