Flights of Fancy

Once again MAS FUSION, the Island’s BIGGEST voluntary community based Family Carnival Mas Band, will be performing at many of the Island carnivals this year, including Newport Carnival for the first time. The group of more than 100 members, young and old, will dance and perform their way around the streets of Ryde to some well known dance tracks  in what can only be described as costumes big and small.

Our theme for 2010 is called “Flights of Fancy”. The inspiration for this has been taken from the iridescence and vibrancy of a rainforest environment. We  hope the crowd will delight in the spectacle of  the costumes and movement, joining with us in a journey of discovery.

Feel the  passion of the pulsing rhythms as you move along with us!

MAS FUSION is a voluntary group who raise all their own  funds and make every single one of their amazing costumes. They would like to  thank everyone who has supported them this year, the volunteers who give up  their time to help with the costume making and helping with the hundred and one  things needed to do in order to put the show on the road and finally our  fabulous performers.
